Some of the many references for Colorado bronze sculptor Greg Todd include:

Dear Greg,

I am writing this letter to express my thanks to you for the creation of a wonderful addition to the City of Westminster’s public art collection. Wild Ice has turned out to be a focal point of the Westminster Promenade project and the City’s Ice Centre. I have observed many people interacting with and taking photos of the sculptures, just as we had hoped would happened (sic)!

The quality of the sculptures is amazing. The movement and expressions on the children’s faces are wonderful. The sculptures really draw people to them and invite appreciative scrutiny.

I also want to say that it has been a pleasure working with you. You fulfilled all the City’s expectations. I enthusiastically recommend you and your work to others looking for high quality art work.

Cordially,

John Carpenter

He [Greg Todd] provides guidance and assistance from the planning stage through the installation phase.

His attention to detail eliminates any surprises.

In my opinion, there are few artists who possess the talent of Greg Todd. He is also a man of integrity.

Greg Todd was absolutely outstanding to work with. He always met deadlines and was very accommodating in setting up a payment schedule for our committee to compensate him for his bronze.

I believe Mr. Todd’s national reputation for quality artwork, exceptional character and outstanding professional skill in accomplishing major projects place him in the forefront of national artists of our time. I would recommend him without reserve.

Dr. Dobson was visibly moved by the careful precision and detail with which the artist had captured his dad’s likeness—even down to the worn spots on the toes of the praying figure’s shoes! Those of us who commissioned the statue couldn’t have been more pleased with the finished product. Greg is a sculptor of consummate talent and skill, and he fully accomplished the objective we had in mind.

Greg worked successfully with a tight deadline and was very conscientious in keeping me up to date on his progress. He was open to input from the Commission and was also very communicative with the contractors of the Ice Haus. The end result is a beautiful bronze that people can identify with and a contract completed successfully, on time and in budget.

First, we can state without reservation that Mr. Todd was a thoroughly professional business gentleman during the earliest discussions of appropriate placement of a very large bronze casting requiring specifications of engineering and artistic considerations. Mr. Todd’s knowledge of both visual appeal and structural requirements were vital in our board’s final technical decisions. Of equal value, and even greater sensitivity, Greg Todd’s artistic eye provided sensitivity, balance and persuasion in making our corporate statement through artistry.

we want to thank you again for your incredible talent, your thorough research, and the creativity that you brought to bear on this project. Working from the one and only existing photo of Sister Mary, you managed to capture the spirit and the feeling of a young nun who took on the extraordinary task of building the first hospital in Grand Junction.

Your professionalism, from the original proposal for the sculpture, to the timely updates on the progress of the piece, and the excellence of the completed sculpture allowed our committee to move forward with complete confidence at every stage of this endeavor.
